Conversion of Microfilm/Microfiche
The Microfilm
& Scanning Bureau can convert various microforms into digital formats,
including:
Scanning of microfilm/microfiche is becoming increasingly popular
with customers whose current micrographic equipment is now obsolete
and who are converting their archives into a digital format to avoid
re-investment in machinery. It is also cost effective for records which
are retrieved on a regular basis to be in a more accessible format.
Typically, images are output in tiff/pdf or jpeg formats at 200 to
400 dpi depending on your requirements.
